"My dentist said I need my tooth surgically removed."
"I need a bone graft before I can get an implant."
"I don't know if I need a dentist or an oral surgeon."
"My wisdom teeth are impacted and causing problems."
If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. We handle a wide range of oral surgery procedures in-office, with sedation options to keep you comfortable, and same-day openings when something can't wait.
Our team performs simple and surgical tooth extractions, wisdom teeth removal (including impacted teeth), dental implant placement, bone grafting to prepare for implants, and oral cancer screenings as part of routine exams.
Any dentist, including our team, can perform many routine oral surgery procedures. A board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon has completed additional years of surgical residency and typically handles more complex cases, like jaw realignment or facial trauma. We'll tell you honestly which category your situation falls into.
Complex jaw realignment, facial trauma, significant bone reconstruction, or cleft-related surgery are usually best handled by a specialist. If that's what you need, we're happy to refer you to a trusted oral and maxillofacial surgeon rather than take on something outside our scope.
Routine procedures like extractions and implant placement are typically billed as dental care, while some more complex cases may involve medical insurance instead. We verify your specific coverage and give you a clear, itemized estimate before any treatment begins, with financing available through CareCredit and Cherry.

From extractions to implant placement, you get consistent, familiar care instead of being sent to an unfamiliar specialist's office for everything.

From local anesthesia to deeper sedation, we tailor your experience to your anxiety level and the complexity of your case.

Severe pain or a sudden dental emergency doesn't have to wait a week for treatment.

If your case is genuinely outside our scope, we'll tell you and connect you with a trusted specialist, not push you into something we're not equipped for.

We verify your coverage and lay out your costs upfront, so there are no surprises.

Our team has handled impacted wisdom teeth, bone grafting, and implant cases that other offices have turned away.

Dr. Cheung has performed oral surgery procedures here for over two decades, from routine extractions to complex implant cases.

Dr. Jerry Cheung, Dr. Paul Kim, Dr. Saniya Kamran, and Dr. Jerome Urell bring a broad range of surgical expertise to every case.

That's not a marketing claim — you can read them yourself. Patients consistently mention how comfortable the process was, even for complex or impacted cases.

From local anesthesia to IV sedation, we tailor your experience to what you actually need.

We hold appointment slots specifically for urgent cases, so severe pain doesn't mean a week of waiting.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
950+ five-star ratings on Google. Here’s what a few patients had to say about their dentures:
Dr. Cheung is an excellent dentist, he took care of my unique situation when no one in the Columbus area would do it. I had an impacted wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted. I am very sensitive to chemicals and drugs in general, and he was the only dentist to listen to my needs and use local anesthesia instead of any sedation drugs. Every dentist in Columbus wanted to use sedation and would not listen to me. If you have an emergency or need general care, don’t think twice, this is an excellent practice.
I called in for a same day emergency visit for my lower left wisdom tooth. I got in the same day thanks to the receptionist hearing me out and listening to my concerns. I was expecting to only get my lower left tooth pulled, but Dr. C and his team managed to pull not 1 but all 4 of my wisdom teeth at a last-minute emergency appointment. Next, it was time to get numb for the extractions (it was too late in the day for sedation). Dr. C and his team made sure my level of comfort was their top priority. With the help of Dr. C and his assistant Cheyenne, they overall made my experience one of the best. I will continue to visit this office even outside of emergencies! 10/10!

Oral surgery is any surgical procedure involving your teeth, gums, or jaw. It ranges from routine, in-office procedures like extractions and wisdom teeth removal to more complex jaw and facial procedures handled by specialists.
An oral surgeon diagnoses and treats conditions of the mouth, teeth, and jaw. Depending on their training, that can range from extractions and implant placement to more complex reconstructive and corrective jaw surgery.
It depends on the procedure. Routine extractions and implant placement are typically billed as dental care, while some more complex procedures, like jaw surgery, may fall under medical insurance instead. We’ll help you understand which applies to your case.
Not exactly. Any dentist, including our team, can perform many routine oral surgery procedures, like extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and implant placement, right in the office. A board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon has completed additional years of surgical residency and typically handles more complex cases, like jaw realignment or facial trauma.
We perform simple and surgical tooth extractions, wisdom teeth removal (including impacted teeth), dental implant placement, bone grafting to prepare for implants, and oral cancer screenings as part of routine exams.
Yes, our team places and restores dental implants right here in our office, including bone grafting when your jaw needs extra preparation first.
Typically, no. Dentures themselves are usually designed and fitted by a general dentist, which is what we do here. An oral surgeon, or a general dentist like our team, may place the implants that an implant-supported denture attaches to, so we handle both the surgical and denture side of that process in-house.
Cost varies widely by procedure, from a simple extraction to implant placement with bone grafting. We verify your dental, and when relevant, medical insurance, and give you a clear, itemized estimate before any treatment begins, with financing available through CareCredit and Cherry.
Most in-office procedures, like an extraction or single implant placement, take about 30 to 90 minutes. More complex cases can take longer. We’ll give you a time estimate specific to your procedure at your consultation.
No, we numb the area thoroughly and offer sedation options for your comfort during the procedure. Some soreness during recovery is normal, and we’ll walk you through how to manage it.
Complex jaw realignment, facial trauma or fractures, significant bone reconstruction, or cleft-related surgery are usually best handled by a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. If your case falls into that category, we’re happy to provide a referral to a trusted specialist.
We’re here to give you honest guidance and take care of it right here in our office — let’s get started.
